ONE of Leeds’ longest-established law firms has strengthened its team with the appointment of two new solicitors.
Milners, headquartered at Whitehall Waterfront, has recruited Oliver Cashman to its commercial litigation department, while Reena Sharma joins its commercial property specialism.
Oliver, 33, moves across the city centre to Milners from Zermansky and Partners, and has a background in civil and commercial litigation.
There, he acted for clients in a number of high-profile cases – including victims of both the Jimmy Savile and media phone-hacking scandals.
He had previously worked for Brooke North in Leeds as well as the Castleford and Pontefract solicitors, Hartley & Worstenholme.
A former 1st XV captain of Yarnbury Rugby Club in north Leeds, he led the side out at Twickenham for the first time in its history when they competed in the national finals of rugby’s Senior Vase in 2014.
Reena, 32, has been appointed to support Milners’ commercial property department on the back of new business wins.
She joins the practice – which is celebrating its 120th anniversary this year – from the Scunthorpe-based Symes Bains Broomer.
Milners’ managing partner Simon Bass: “Both Oliver and Reena will inject extra capacity and capability into these two specialist departments, which form one of the cornerstones of the next stage of our growth strategy.”
