Giles is Milners’ Head of Litigation. He has been practising law since the early 1990s and represents clients both nationally and internationally.


Giles has considerable expertise in all forms of tribunal and substantial trial experience in both court and arbitration. He is often instructed on extremely sensitive and complicated matters by institutions, charities, companies and individuals alike.


Despite his many responsibilities as Senior Partner, Giles is retained by numerous well-known names throughout Yorkshire and beyond, dealing with a wide variety of business and Public Law issues.


Giles has many reported cases throughout his career Including in the House of Lords and Court of Appeal.


Additionally, Giles also represents respondents and participants in Independent Inquiries and Statutory Inquiries instituted by governmental agencies.


In addition to Giles’ wealth of trial experience, he is an accredited mediator, a Non-Executive Director and Trustee of a multi-national company.


He qualified in 1992 and worked at Watson Burton and Hammonds Suddards (now known as Squires Patton Boggs) before joining Milners in 2001.
