Victoria joined Milners in 2008 as a solicitor. At that time she specialised in asset-related recovery and dispute resolution. She acted for local, national and international companies and advised on administrations, individual voluntary arrangements, bankruptcy and winding up petitions. Victoria is now part of the Management Team, working closely with Simon Bass, the Managing Partner. She is responsible for the firm’s compliance and is also involved in the day to day running of the firm.

He has amassed over 14 years of legal expertise working with a raft of owner-managed businesses, SMEs, PLCs and the third sector - across Yorkshire and beyond. He will help to spearhead the development of our Corporate and Commercial services, as well as mentoring other members of our team. Darren performs a wide-ranging role supporting businesses on a range of legal issues. This extends to the drafting, advising upon, and negotiating company commercial agreements, including Memorandum and Articles of Association; intellectual property and software agreements; and general commercial agreements governing outsourcing and the supply of goods and services. He joins the Milners team from the Leeds office of international law firm DWF, where he was a Senior Associate. His legal CV also features roles at a brace of large regional law firms, Ison Harrison and Lupton Fawcett. A former graduate of the University of Hull and York College of Law, Darren is a keen sports player and supporter when not entertaining his two children, and has also conquered the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge several times, raising money to support the fight against cancer.

She further bolsters our award-winning Property department, having joined us in March 2019 as a Legal Assistant focusing on Commercial Property. Donna also brings with her a raft of other legal expertise, having a proven track record working in the specialist fields of litigation and probate during her career. She joins the Property team here at Milners having previously broadened her experience at two of Leeds’ other major law firms. Having now transferred these skills to meeting the varied needs of our Commercial Property clients, she has swiftly established herself as a core member of our team. Donna plays a key role in executing transactions spanning all areas of commercial property. These include commercial leases, including Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 lease renewals; purchases and sales; and re-financing. It’s an in-demand department whose commercial property expertise secured it a Tier 5 ranking in The Legal 500 UK. Away from working with our Property team in our offices at Leeds, Harrogate and Pontefract, you are most likely to find Donna with her nose inside a good book, swimming, or travelling.
