Mathew has joined Milners’ commercial property team and is also the Money Laundering Officer and training principal for our trainee solicitors. He offers expertise built over 14 years working with clients and commercial agents in the Yorkshire property sector and beyond.

Appreciating the commercial reality of what you wish to achieve, and getting to know you individually to understand how your business works, enables Mathew to deliver results in a timely, cost effective and professional manner.

The purchase of new commercial premises into the Pension Fund of a client who runs a book distribution Company with the grant of a lease of part back to the vendor and dealing with lender and the Trustees of the Pension Funds requirements.

Advising on and the conduct of the commercial property aspects of a client’s share sale, in particular dealing with the extraction of 6 properties from the Company and the simultaneous grant of 9 leases to the purchaser upon completion.

The refinancing of a partnership who own and run a chain of Fish & Chip shops to include the transfer of properties and goodwill to a holding company and trading company respectively and all associated security documentation and advice

Acting for a local Company running a chain of independent Coffee Shops in Leeds in the lease of new premises in the City Centre to assist with it’s expansion plans

General property advice and the grant of leases for the owner of a 20 Unit Industrial Estate, golf course and garden centre in West Yorkshire including the siting and lease of land for a wind turbine to provide power to the site
