Giles is Milner’s Head of Litigation. He has been practicing law since the early 1990’s and represents clients both nationally and internationally.
Giles has considerable expertise in all forms tribunal and substantial trial experience in both court and arbitration. He is often instructed on extremely sensitive and complicated matters by institutions, charities, companies and individuals, issues surrounding data protection, legislative changes and protection of the increasing risk of cyber-attacks certain institutions face, ICO inquiries, schools, breaches, fines, procedures and systems.
Despite his many responsibilities as Senior Partner, Giles is retained by numerous well known names throughout Yorkshire and beyond, dealing with a wide variety of business/corporate and legal issues, including amongst others, sales and purchases both in the UK and abroad.
Giles has many reported cases throughout his career, in the House of Lords and Court of Appeal.
In addition to Giles’ wealth of trial experience, he is an accredited mediator, a; non-executive director and trustee of a multinational company. He qualified in 1992 and worked at Watson Burton and Hammonds Suddards (now known as Squires Patton Boggs) before joining Milners in 2001.
